What we collect when you use this site or contact us, why we hold it, who sees it and how to have it removed.

Who we are

DAHAB ESTATES LTD (company number 16409290) is registered in England and Wales. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@dahabestates.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this site, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, the country you are based in, the area and budget you are searching in, your preferred viewing dates, and your message.

Our hosting provider also records standard server information for every request — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site running and to deal with abuse, not to profile visitors.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and, if it leads to an engagement, to carry out the work you have asked for. We also keep enquiry records to answer follow-up questions and to meet our accounting and legal obligations.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Our lawful basis

For answering an enquiry: our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has asked us a question, and your consent where the form asks for it. For work under an engagement: performance of that contract. For records we must keep: compliance with a legal obligation.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as needed to deal with the question, and are then deleted. Records relating to an engagement are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep them. Server logs are kept by the host for a short, fixed period.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider and our email provider process data on our behalf under contract. Where an enquiry leads to an engagement, we share what is necessary with the professionals acting on your purchase — your solicitor, your lender and, where relevant, the selling agent — and only with your knowledge.

We do not transfer personal data outside the UK and the European Economic Area unless a transfer mechanism permitted by law is in place.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to the way we are using it. Write to info@dahabestates.co.uk and we will respond within the period the law allows.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your answer to the cookie notice, kept in local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page. See the cookie policy for detail.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting an engagement in progress will be sent to you directly.
